John 14:1-3
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
Author/Writer: God and The Apostle John Contextual Fact: There is, in John Ryland's Museum, Manchester, a small piece of papyrus, dated by those who are experts in this subject, about the end of the first quarter of the second century A.D. This we have seen and examined. It is a portion of the Gospel of John, and its discovery has for ever shattered the critical attacks upon the authenticity of the Gospel, for if a copy could be found in Egypt in the first quarter of the second century, then the original cannot have been written later than the close of the first century.

I Corinthians 13 tells us
1. God Love Is Incarnational - God entered into our world and demonstrated love in a way we could visualize - understand. We must go where young people are and where they live out their lives. This in itself will demonstrate to our young people our love for them.
2. Gods Love Is Patient - We must not make impatient demands but allow young people to grow at their own pace.
3. Gods Love Is Kind - We must be gentle and sensitive to the needs and hurts of young people. We must allow them to be teenagers and not demand that they be something else.
4. God Love Is Not Jealous Our supreme concern must be for our young peoples growth and not that they just attend our youth program or our activities.
5. Gods Love Does Not Brag and Is Not Arrogant - We must not spend our energies building up ourselves, but remember that servanthood is making the other person successful.
6. Does Not Act Unbecomingly - We are not to try to act like teenagers. Teens do not want leaders who act like them, but leaders who act like leaders.
7.Does Not Seek Its Own - Our desire must be to put others first. If we cannot do this then we cannot expect our young people to do it either.
8. Is Not Provoked At times this becomes a great difficulty, but we must learn as the Apostle Paul in II Corinthians 2. He stated that in every disappointment he learned to use that situation to reaffirm love for the person who disappoints him.
9. Gods Love Does Not Take Into Account a Wrong Suffered - Jesus suffered much wrong and rejection and we, too, must be willing to experience that same suffering.
10.Rejoices With the Truth Our young people will easily see our values by what we get most excited about.
11.Bears and Believes All Things We must expect the best and see people as God sees people for the potential they can become with Jesus Christ help.
12.Hopes All Things We need to memorize Philippians 4:8 and recite it daily to ourselves.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Bible Help affirmations from God is love 13. Gods Love Endures All Things Many heartaches will come our way, and the desire to give up and quit will often pass through our minds. But God love for us endures even our shortcomings. How can we do any less.
Matt 22:36-40
36 Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like it You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.
What is Grace?
Grace is unmerited favor. God gives us favor because He is
on our side. He wants what is good for us. God’s favor cannot be earned. We do
not deserve nor are we capable to earn grace. God freely gives to us what we
cannot provide for ourselves. God offers us help by the way of His truth so we
can grow. “The word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen
His glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father full of
grace and truth” (1 John 1:14).
Why do we need Grace?
All of our attempts at building self-sufficiency,
self-esteem, and success take us further away from the answer to life’s
problems. We can try harder to earn our way. When we do not face the reality
that we are in need, we are in denial. We cannot get better on our own will
power, efforts and resources. “There is a way that seems right to a man, but in
the end it leads to death” (Proverbs 16:25).
God offers us grace so we can change from destructive
patterns. God gives us provisions and resources so we can grow. Sooner or later
we will come to the end of our selves and our rebellion. It is at this point
that God can do His work in us. “From the fullness of His grace we have
received one blessing after another” (1 John 1:16).
What is the difference between Grace and the Law?
The law commands us to what to do and what not to do. The
law requires us to live up to a standard. The law is about performance and how
to earn what we need. We try to save ourselves. When we fail, we think God is
mad at us and wants to punish us. Grace offers us a different view of God. God
is love and accepts us we are. He wants us to change, grow, and be healed and
become complete. “Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so
that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need”
(Hebrews 4:16).
How is Forgiveness different than Grace?
Forgiveness is an expression of God’s grace by not getting
something we deserve. It is the removal or cancellation of charges against us
because God’s judgment against sin has been satisfied. Forgiveness provides the
solution to our isolation. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only
Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John
3:16).
Grace is what God does for us in our inability and failure.
God considers our weakness a “blessed” state of our being unable to do what we
need to do. “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of
heaven” (Matthew 5:3). “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect
in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9).
How do I receive God’s Grace?
Start seeing God as for you and not against you. Understand
that God is the source of all our resources, healing and hope. The answers we
seek to all of life’s problems and issues are found seeking God and His
righteousness. “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these
things will be given to you as well” (Matthew 6:33).
God's grace from heaven is eternal life promised in the Bible by God, Jesus Christ our savior loves us.
